Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and Member of the Dubai Council, Dubai Watch Week 2023 is pleased to welcome its guests to attend the exhibition in its sixth and largest edition this year to celebrate the art of watchmaking, and learn about the latest Innovations in this field; The exhibition will witness a variety of entertainment and cultural events and activities that will enrich the experience of visitors who love the world of luxury watches.

The exhibition, which will be held from November 16 to 20 at the Gate Building in the Dubai International Financial Centre, brings together many industries, such as watchmaking, design, cars, and the arts. More than 60 leading international brands in the world of watchmaking will display their latest releases, and many of these brands are also expected to reveal limited editions exclusively at this distinguished event.

In addition, the exhibition provides special exhibition spaces for international brands, including Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Tudor, Hublot, Chopard, Ulysse Nardin, Girard-Perregaux, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chanel and Bulgari, to showcase their latest innovations and creations. The exhibition also includes a hall dedicated to watch enthusiasts and enthusiasts to participate in discussion sessions on the latest innovations and creativity in the art of watchmaking.

This year's program will also include a group of workshops presented by a number of world watchmaking experts and pioneers, including a unique workshop run by Nour Al Hassan, founder of the Kintsugi workshops. In addition, Max Busser will participate in presenting his creative vision in designing and building the brand.

Watches Forum

The exhibition presents the Watch Industry Forum, a forum launched by Dubai Watch Week, with the aim of highlighting the intersection of the watch industry with the luxury automotive industry and skilled craftsmanship; This forum will provide an open platform for free discussions between skilled craftsmen and entrepreneurs, as well as watch collectors. This year's forum will include six panel discussions, bringing together specialized experts from all over the world. And three debates on fundamental topics in the world of watchmaking. For the first time, a panel discussion will be presented in Arabic, adding a new dimension to the forum and attracting more audiences to this exhibition.

Workshops

This year's exhibition includes 11 workshops, presented by specialized experts from various parts of the world, including a workshop on making watch dials using pure sugar conducted by “Bouvet”, the Swiss company; The “Shaken” workshop, which transforms old Norwegian silver spoons into wearable pieces of art; A workshop organized by the Irthi Council for Contemporary Crafts, which focuses on making leather bracelets using the ancient Emirati traditional craft “Safifah”, and other distinguished workshops that address various aspects of watchmaking and handicrafts.

Creative area

Within the activities of this exhibition, the Creative Zone will present a number of important discussions on sustainability and the concept of recycling in the Swiss luxury watch industry under the supervision of ID Genève, in addition to a dialogue with Mr. Jean-Claude Biver, who will explain the most important stages of his career and its impact on the watch industry.

Christie's at Dubai Watch Week

In this year's edition, Christie's returns to present a series of experiential and educational discussions delivered by elite speakers in its new pavilion at the exhibition. In addition, the house will provide free watch evaluations conducted by its watchmaking experts, by prior appointment, and will also offer children between the ages of 7 and 14 the opportunity to participate in an educational and interactive auction.

Activities and competitions

At the heart of the event will be the "Amadeo Evolution of Cameo" exhibition, which showcases the development of the art of engraving. Amadeo, the famous craftsman, will also present a unique collection of brooches specially designed for Dubai Watch Week, which combines traditional and modern craftsmanship arts. At the MAD exhibition, international artists will present their creations, focusing on the beauty inherent in details and precision in craftsmanship.

In addition, the Luxury Watch Industry Foundation organizes a group of competitions that are held in the heart of the exhibition. Visitors can participate and scan a group of unique watches through the “Dubai Watch Week” DWW application, answer five questions correctly, and get a chance every day to win one of the luxury watches.

International flavours

Dubai Watch Week offers unique experiences for visitors, extending beyond the world of watchmaking to include modern concepts in the arts of food. For example, La Nina will offer a modern Ibero-Latin menu with a harmonious blend of bold flavours. Home Bakery and Kitch-In are launching an exclusive menu specially prepared for this exhibition, and Twist will also be adding new flavors to its menu according to guests’ preferences.
