Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, a leading regional center dedicated to developing leadership and diplomatic capabilities, has announced the opening of applications for its Postgraduate Diploma in Emirati Diplomacy and International Relations program for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Under the theme "Investing in the Future," this year's admissions campaign highlights the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy's commitment to nurturing the next generation of Emirati diplomats and international affairs professionals.

As part of the registration process, the Academy will hold an open day on February 27 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, where interested individuals will have the opportunity to visit the Academy, learn about its programs, and interact with a select group of distinguished faculty members.

The fully accredited, one-year Postgraduate Diploma program is designed to meet the ever-changing demands of diplomacy in a fast - paced international world. This program provides students with the essential skills required in modern diplomacy, including advanced research skills, negotiation skills, effective communication in both Arabic and English, as well as the opportunity to master a third international language, protocol and etiquette skills, consular diplomacy, and crisis management. His Excellency Nickolay Mladenov, Director General of the Academy, emphasized the Academy's pivotal role in shaping the future of UAE diplomacy, saying: "At the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, our role is not limited to educating future diplomats, but rather, we work to empower the new generation of Emirati leaders with the skills, resilience, and strategic vision necessary to navigate the complexities of modern diplomacy. Through this program, our students gain the experience and confidence to guide global debates, advance the UAE's foreign policy priorities, and contribute to making a positive and sustainable impact on the international stage."

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of the Academy, stated: “The Postgraduate Diploma in Emirati Diplomacy and International Relations program is not just an academic experience; it is a transformational journey that prepares our students for leadership in the diplomatic corps. Our educational curriculum combines practical training, high-level political discussions, and comprehensive qualifications, ensuring the graduation of confident and competent diplomats, capable of representing the nation and defending its interests with skill and integrity.”

The Academy's admission criteria stipulate that all applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma in Emirati Diplomacy and International Relations must be UAE citizens or children of Emirati women under the age of 35. They must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and must have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, a TOEFL Internet-Based Test ( IBT ) score of 79, a TOEFL Computer-Based Test ( CBT ) score of 213, or a TOEFL Paper-Based Test of 550 (or achieve the required score before the program commences). Male applicants will be required to provide a certificate of completion of national service and be able to travel and work outside the country.
