May 11 (Reuters) - The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday that it will lend energy companies 53.3 million barrels of crude oil from the strategic reserve, as part of a global agreement aimed at calming crude markets that have seen a sharp rise in the wake of the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
Last month, the Energy Department offered up to 92.5 million barrels of reserves.
