- Poland's largest oil refiner and distributor, Orlen, told Reuters on Tuesday that oil shipments from Saudi Aramco to the country are proceeding according to schedule and in the contracted quantities despite supply disruptions resulting from the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

The Polish company stated that it sees no reason to expect any change in the planned supplies from Aramco for May.

Aramco uses the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea to export crude oil after the war restricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Polish officials said that supplies to Orlen are delivered via this port.

Saudi Aramco supplies approximately 40 percent of the oil refined by Orlen. The Polish company refined 39.6 million tons of oil last year.

Orlen stated that it is prepared to supply the contracted quantities of jet fuel during the peak seasonal production and demand period for the aviation sector, which runs from May to September.

"Orlen manages its supply chains and production programs flexibly, ensuring it is ready to fulfill all existing contracts and secure supplies during periods of increased demand," a company spokesman said in an email responding to a Reuters inquiry.

European airlines warn that a war with Iran could lead to a shortage of jet fuel, as Europe relies on the Middle East for about 75 percent of its jet fuel imports.
