PRESSR: LG announces its financial results for the third quarter of 2025

Dubai - LG Electronics (LG) today announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2025 , which included consolidated revenues of KRW 21.87 trillion and operating profit of KRW 688.9 billion.

The home appliance and vehicle component solutions businesses delivered strong performance despite external challenges such as US tariffs and the slowdown in the electric vehicle market. These positive results reflect the ongoing transformation of LG's business portfolio and its continued commitment to qualitative growth, encompassing business-to-business ( B2B ) solutions, such as vehicle components and HVAC systems, as well as non-appliance sectors like subscription services and the webOS operating system, and innovative direct-to-consumer business models.

In the third quarter of 2025 , business-to-business ( B2B ) revenue increased by 2 % year-on-year to reach 5.9 trillion Korean won. Revenue from home appliance subscription services also rose by 31 % year-on-year to reach 700 billion Korean won.

Third quarter 2025 results and future outlook by company

LG Home Appliance Solution

LG Home Appliance Solutions ' revenue reached 6.58 trillion Korean won, with operating profit of 365.9 billion Korean won. This growth was driven by the success of the company's two-pronged strategy targeting both the premium and general market segments, along with the continued expansion of its subscription and online sales businesses. Improvements to production facilities and operational efficiency also helped offset costs incurred due to US tariffs, further boosting profitability year-on-year.

Regarding the final quarter of the year, the company anticipates a challenging global home appliance market due to weak demand and increased competition. To address this challenge, the company plans to expand its subscription and online sales business and focus on achieving qualitative growth. It will also strive to optimize its cost structure and reduce fixed costs to improve profitability year-on-year.

LG Media Entertainment Solution

LG Media Entertainment Solutions reported revenues of 4.65 trillion Korean won in the third quarter, while posting an operating loss of 302.6 billion Korean won. Profitability was impacted by increased marketing investments to address intensifying competition and non-recurring expenses related to a voluntary retirement program.

Looking ahead, LG will focus on enhancing profitability and operational efficiency in its TV business and expanding its webOS platform through advertising development and content diversification. The company also plans to broaden its presence in the Global South, where demand remains relatively strong.

LG Vehicle Component Solutions

LG Vehicle Component Solutions' revenue reached 2.65 trillion Korean won in the third quarter, while its operating profit reached 149.6 billion Korean won, marking the highest third-quarter revenue in the company's history and the highest quarterly operating profit to date. The operating profit margin also exceeded 5 % for the first time.

While external factors such as the shift in policies supporting electric vehicles in the United States may present short-term challenges during the fourth quarter, the company aims to maintain stable profitability through continuous improvement of its product mix, cost structure, and efficiency improvement initiatives.

LG Eco Solution

LG Eco Solution 's revenue reached 2.17 trillion Korean won, while its operating profit reached 132.9 billion Korean won. This slight year-on-year increase was driven by strong domestic sales and continued growth in its subscription and online sales businesses. Operating profit saw a slight decrease due to the company's expanding investments.

The company plans to bolster its growth momentum by expanding its district cooling product portfolio and exploring new opportunities in commercial HVAC systems, industrial chillers, and power generation chillers. It recently secured a series of significant contracts to supply customized cooling solutions for AI data centers across North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia, demonstrating its considerable progress in this area. The company aims to leverage these contracts as strategic benchmark projects to strengthen its market presence as it prepares to commercialize its next-generation liquid cooling solutions for data centers and expands its partnerships to develop flood cooling technologies.
