Riyadh - Mubasher: Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received on Sunday Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara.
Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara arrived this morning at Riyadh airport on his first official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Sharaa is scheduled to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and senior Saudi officials to discuss developments in Syria, plans to establish security and stability in Syria, prospects for relations between Damascus and Arab capitals, and efforts to lift sanctions on Syria.
On January 30, 2025, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent a congratulatory cable to President Ahmed Al-Shara, President of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, on the occasion of his assumption of the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the transitional phase.
The Crown Prince said: “On the occasion of your assumption of the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the transitional phase, we are pleased to send to Your Excellency our sincere congratulations and best wishes for success and guidance in this phase in which the brotherly Syrian people aspire to achieve their hopes and aspirations, with our wishes for Your Excellency good health and happiness, and for the brotherly Syrian people further progress and advancement.”
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed its support for the Syrian people and the new Syrian administration , stressing its readiness to participate in rebuilding Syria and supporting its unity and territorial integrity.
