  • xBites, Voom, and Net Zero Build are seizing opportunities to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the sector's sustainability and accelerate digital transformation.

Cairo: The closing day of Cityscape 2025 witnessed the announcement of the results of the latest edition of the leading regional challenge, Egypt Proptech Challenge, in the field of real estate technology (PropTech) and construction technology solutions (ConTech), which was organized by Informa in partnership with Global 500 and a number of institutions supporting innovation and entrepreneurship.

These startups, xBites, Voom, and Net Zero Build, have succeeded in reaching advanced stages of the challenge by presenting innovative solutions that were selected from among dozens of entries from Egypt, the Gulf, and Africa, to lead the competition thanks to their business models that combine sustainability, smart cities, and digital transformation in the real estate sector.

This event highlighted the growing role of building and construction technologies in reshaping the Egyptian and regional real estate market, with participating companies showcasing the latest artificial intelligence applications and sustainable building solutions. These initiatives come at a time when the focus is accelerating on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving customer experience in the real estate market.

For his part, Robert Daniel, director of Cityscape Egypt, affirmed that “the success of the current edition of the Egypt PropTech Challenge reflects Egypt’s growing status as a regional hub for incubating innovative startups, especially in the fields of smart cities and digital sustainability. This also enhances the ability of the Egyptian real estate market to compete globally by integrating the latest technology solutions into the development, marketing and management stages.”

For his part, Ezz El-Din Zaza, Programs Director at Global 500, explained that participants in the challenge will receive the necessary support to further develop and enhance their entrepreneurial journey, in addition to business acceleration programs provided by strategic partners, most notably WRK+ (The GrEEK Campus & MQR), which will allow them access to a wider range of resources.

It is worth noting that the Egypt Proptech Challenge represents a pivotal platform for empowering the new generation of entrepreneurs in the real estate sector, as it combines innovation, entrepreneurship and technology to reshape the future of real estate development in Egypt and the region.
