- The International Air Transport Association (IATA) chief Willy Walsh said the jet fuel crisis caused by a U.S.-Israeli war on Iran has not yet reached the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic, but shortages during the peak summer season in the Northern Hemisphere are worrying.

He told Reuters on Tuesday that demand remained strong worldwide, but jet fuel shortages could affect Asia first, then Europe, before Africa and Latin America, with some flights potentially being canceled if fuel is rationed.
