The Saudi Federation has loaned Cameroonian defender Keller until the end of the season.
February 6 (Reuters Sports Service) - Saudi Professional League champions Al-Ittihad announced on Friday the signing of Cameroonian defender Stephane Keller on loan from Cypriot side AEL Limassol.
The federation said in a statement via its X platform account that it had signed Keller "until the end of the current sports season".
Coach Sergio Conceicao's team signed Keller to strengthen the ranks of Al-Ittihad, which lost the French duo Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante during the winter transfer window.
Al-Ittihad signed Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahce in a deal that saw Kante move to the Turkish team, while Benzema joined Al-Hilal.
Al-Ittihad, who have collected 34 points and occupy sixth place in the standings, will be guests of Al-Nasr, who are third in the standings, today, in a highly anticipated league match.
