Saudi Aramco CEO: We will operate the East-West pipeline at full capacity within the next two days as customers arrive at the loading terminals.
March 10 (Reuters) - Saudi Aramco Chief Executive Amin Nasser said on Tuesday that a prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz could have "catastrophic" consequences for global oil markets.
"Although we have faced disruptions in the past, this crisis is by far the biggest the oil and gas sector in the region has ever faced," he added in a telephone press conference following the company's announcement of its 2025 results.
In a related development, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced on Tuesday that it would not allow “a single liter of oil” to be shipped from the Middle East if US and Israeli attacks continued, prompting President Donald Trump to threaten Iran that the United States would inflict even harsher blows if it blocked exports from the vital energy-producing region.
