Total Energies CEO: Increased US LNG production is beneficial, but cannot replace Qatari supplies to Europe next winter.
PARIS, June 17 (Reuters) - Increased U.S. liquefied natural gas production is helpful, but cannot replace Qatari supplies to Europe next winter, Total Energies chief executive Patrick Pouyanné said on Wednesday.
He added, before French lawmakers during a hearing of the Economic Affairs Committee on the Middle East crisis, that the failure to resume Qatari liquefied natural gas supplies would result in gas prices not falling as much as oil prices as winter approaches.
