Riyadh - Mubasher: The General Assembly of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation approved the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosting the next edition of the Gulf Cup Championship "Gulf 27", which will be held in September 2026 .

The General Assembly’s approval of the Kingdom hosting the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup came unanimously, through a vote by the members of the General Assembly during its meeting held today in the capital, Kuwait, and witnessed the attendance of the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Misehal, the Secretary-General Ibrahim Al-Qassim, and the member of the Board of Directors, Muid Al-Shehri, according to a statement by the Saudi Football Federation.

The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, noted the unlimited support of the leadership for the sports sector in general and football in particular, which resulted in the Kingdom being chosen to host the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, appreciating the efforts of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, for his continuous interest and follow-up in order to harness all capabilities for the Kingdom to host various major sporting events .

The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation thanked the President of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the members of the General Assembly of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation for their confidence in choosing the Kingdom to host the major Gulf event, praising the Federation’s efforts in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among the people of the Gulf through the great interest in this historic tournament that carries sublime meanings and enjoys the attention of the Gulf and Arab audiences in general .

Al-Mashaal welcomed the fans from the sisterly Gulf countries to the Kingdom’s land in a new version of the prestigious tournament that the Kingdom is honored to host again, noting that hosting the 27th Gulf Cup comes within a series of successes achieved by the Kingdom in terms of successfully hosting many major sporting events .
