"Arabian Renewable Energy" signs a contract for an industrial project for solar panels with a Swedish company

Cairo – Mubasher: Head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Mokhtar Abdel Latif and Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat witnessed the signing of a contract to establish a joint solar panel manufacturing project between the Arab Company for Renewable Energy (ACRE), a subsidiary of the organization, and Swedish company Sunshine Pro.
The event was attended by Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, Director General of the Arab Organization for Industrialization; Ghada El Gendy, Executive Director of the Arab Renewable Energy Company, a subsidiary of the organization; Yahya Matini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swedish company Sunshine Pro; and a delegation from the Arab Union for Alternative Energy and Green Economy, headed by Essam Sheikh El Ard, Secretary General of the Arab Union for Alternative Energy and Green Economy.
Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, said that the agreed-upon areas of cooperation include establishing a joint industrial project for automatic solar panels through the establishment of a modern production line with international quality standards and specifications, with a capacity of 1 gigawatt per year, under the name "Arab Swedish Energy Factory ASEF with N-type technology." He noted that this is a starting point for strengthening future cooperation in various investment projects.
He stated that the Arab Organization for Industrialization is looking forward to enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise with the Swedish company Sun Shine Pro, to develop integrated smart solutions in the fields of design and manufacturing, for renewable energy projects to meet the growing needs of the local market, in addition to participating in projects in African and Arab countries and the global market at competitive prices for joint products in accordance with international quality standards.
Mukhtar Abdel Latif affirmed that the Arab Organization for Industrialization has an ambitious plan to meet all the needs of the local and African markets in the field of solar electricity generation, and even enter global competition in the future. He pointed out that we are enhancing our manufacturing capabilities and production lines with all modern digital manufacturing systems to produce high-quality solar panels that will enable us to compete in the global market.
For his part, Mahmoud Esmat emphasized ongoing coordination and cooperation with all parties to support the electricity and renewable energy sector's plan and the strategy for transitioning to clean energy. He explained the acceleration of implementation steps for ongoing projects to increase the renewable energy capacity added to the national electricity grid.
The Minister of Electricity stressed that the private sector is a key partner in renewable energy projects, and that the ministry is working to open the way for it and provide the necessary support to increase the participation of local and foreign private investments in clean energy projects, as well as localize the manufacture of related equipment, including solar cells. He added that there is an urgent plan to improve the quality and stability of the electricity supply, rely on renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, diversify energy sources, and reduce the consumption of traditional fuels within the framework of the sustainable development vision of the new republic.
For his part, Yehia Metini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swedish company Sunshine Pro, expressed his aspiration to localize technology and work on implementing joint projects in the field of renewable energy to meet all the needs of the local Egyptian market and Arab and African countries, and to work on opening new export outlets to the global market.
He emphasized that this cooperation will represent a significant addition to the Egyptian economy, especially as we will work to design and implement a joint industrial project for automatic solar panels, utilizing the national manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, in accordance with the latest international quality standards.
