Al Arabi Financial announces completion of sale of 30% of Al Tazaj Company to Al Rajhi Partners

Riyadh - Mubasher: Al-Arabi Capital announced today, Wednesday, the completion of the private placement deal to sell 30% of the shares of Al-Tazaj Fakieh Grilled Chicken Company (Al-Tazaj) to Al-Rajhi Partners.
Al Arabi Financial acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Fakieh Poultry Farms in the private placement transaction to sell 30% of its stake in Al Tazaj Fakieh Grilled Chicken Company (“Al Tazaj Company”).
Al Tazaj is a company specialized in the fast food restaurant sector for chicken in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1989, and its headquarters are located in Jeddah. It currently operates more than 125 branches in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Enrique Velasco, CEO of Fakieh Poultry Farms, said that the deal was completed within just 8 weeks of its launch, confirming the strength, flexibility and growth potential of Al Tazaj.
Velasco added that this deal is a significant achievement for Fakieh Poultry Farms in its growth journey.
Al-Arabi Financial indicated that this deal received great welcome and positive feedback in the market from many investors, most notably Al-Rajhi Partners Company.
For his part, CEO of Al Rajhi Partners, Saad bin Mohammed Al Ghurairy, said that acquiring a strategic stake reflects its vision of investing in companies with a strong brand that is consistent with the desires and aspirations of society.
Al-Ghariri added: “We look forward to partnering with Fakieh Poultry Farms to set distinguished standards of quality and service in the restaurant sector.”
For his part, Khaled Saleh Al-Ghamdi, CEO of Al-Arabi Capital, explained that private placements, such as this deal, are not just a process of raising money, but rather contribute to institutionalizing companies’ operations, paving the way for future transitional stages, including public offerings, by enhancing governance and transparency.
Al-Ghamdi added that this is a strong signal to the market that the company has indeed undergone a thorough examination process and has gained the trust and support of knowledgeable and experienced investors.
