Qiddiya Investment launches “Playmakers” training programs to develop Saudi talent

Riyadh – Mubasher: Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) announced today the launch of the "Playmakers" training program, a milestone in developing the skills of Saudi citizens and enabling them to work in key sectors in Qiddiya. The program will provide high-quality training for Saudi nationals in collaboration with local and international training providers.

The first group of programs will focus on the entertainment and hospitality sectors, with plans to expand to include sports, culture, and other sectors in the future, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

She added that the launch of the "Playmakers" training programs confirms Qiddiya's commitment to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, by focusing on creating new job opportunities for Saudis. The company aims to provide 325,000 jobs in Qiddiya, in addition to 22,000 jobs across the Kingdom at the Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company (SEVEN) , providing promising job opportunities in Qiddiya's core sectors .

Qiddiya has signed memoranda of understanding with leading training partners in the entertainment and hospitality sectors, and is working with additional partners to join the next group of programs. In addition, Qiddiya collaborates with numerous government and non-profit entities that share its ambitious goals of developing the skills of national cadres .

The launch includes a wide range of training programs targeting all educational backgrounds and career aspirations, through short courses, vocational training degrees, and even higher education degrees, to prepare participants to work on Qiddiya City and SEVEN projects such as Six Flags Qiddiya City, Aquaria, the speed track, and others .
