Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Chemical Holding Company announced that its board of directors issued a decision yesterday, Tuesday, appointing Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Zunaidi as CEO of the company, effective from the beginning of next February.

The company explained in a statement on "Tadawul" today, Wednesday, that Abdullah Al-Zunaidi holds a degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1993, and holds a master's degree in executive business administration from Thunderbird University in the United States in 2016, and has more than 31 years of industrial practical experience.

She said that he worked at SABIC for 24 years, during which he held several positions, the last of which was CEO of SABIC Africa. He also worked at the beginning of his career at SPIMACO for 3 years, and joined the Saudi Chemical Company at the beginning of 2021. He currently holds the position of CEO of the Explosives Sector, and is a member of the Board of Directors of both Chemanol and Al-Jouf Cement Company.

The company announced in a separate statement that the effective date of the resignation of the company’s CEO, Thamer bin Mohammed Al-Muhaid, has been amended to become the end of January 2025, instead of the previously announced effective date, which was the end of next year, based on his request.
