Bloomberg News: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation informed customers on Friday that it will activate a contractual clause allowing for missed delivery dates on shipments.

- Kuwait declared force majeure on shipments of crude oil and refined products after the closure of the Strait of Hormuz prevented some vessels from entering the Gulf, hindering its ability to meet certain customer commitments, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing a document.

The Bloomberg report added that the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation informed customers on Friday that it would activate a contractual clause allowing for the non-delivery of scheduled shipments.

She noted that the decision is not expected to result in a complete halt to supplies from them.

Reuters has not yet been able to independently verify the report.
