PRESSR: Bank Nizwa supports the participation of a delegation of Omani businesswomen in Uzbekistan

Muscat : In line with its commitment to supporting women’s empowerment and inclusive economic growth, Bank Nizwa, the leading and most trusted Islamic bank in the Sultanate of Oman, played a pivotal role as the exclusive sponsor of the delegation of Omani women entrepreneurs during their visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The bank’s participation in this strategic endeavor reflects its leading position as a key supporter of the Islamic finance sector and its commitment to enhancing the Sultanate’s standing in global entrepreneurship.

This visit comes as an initiative and organization by Funoon Hospitality and Tourism Group in support of empowering women in economic life, under the patronage and supervision of Dr. Siham Al Harthy, a member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, within the framework of the group’s endeavor to contribute to enhancing the role of Omani women in the business and tourism sector and representing the Sultanate in international forums.

The delegation comprised 15 Omani businesswomen representing a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, tourism, banking and finance, fashion and perfumes, food and hospitality, and real estate development. Through a series of forums, meetings, and networking opportunities, the participants explored trade and investment prospects, forged partnerships with their Uzbek counterparts, and showcased the excellence of Omani entrepreneurship and its growing international presence.

Representing Bank Nizwa in this delegation were Ms. Iman Al-Toubi, Senior Manager of Global Trade at Bank Nizwa, and Ms. Farhat Al-Harasi, Manager of the Qurum branch at Bank Nizwa. The visit included several presentations during which they exchanged valuable insights on the ongoing role of Islamic finance in empowering entrepreneurs and promoting sustainable economic growth across the Sultanate of Oman .
