Statement from U.S. Central Command: Latest wave of strikes on Iran completed
WASHINGTON, July 16 (Reuters) - The U.S. Central Command said late Wednesday that the military had completed its latest wave of strikes on Iran, carried out at the direction of President Donald Trump.
"U.S. forces struck Iranian command centers, air defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance facilities," the statement said, adding that forces also struck targets in Bandar Abbas, which houses Iran's largest port and key naval and Revolutionary Guard facilities on the Strait of Hormuz.
