Statement: Libya resumes production at the Senawen oil field after a halt of more than 3 years

- Libya has resumed production at the Senawen oil field in the Nalut region of western Libya after a hiatus of more than three years due to "financial and technical difficulties," the Arabian Gulf Oil Company announced on Sunday.

The company said on its website, "The restart came after the technical and engineering teams completed the necessary treatment and maintenance work, which included addressing operational bottlenecks related to the export line."

She added that the oil field, which is linked to the Mellitah complex, produces up to 20,000 barrels per day under normal circumstances.
