Trump signs executive order to amend tariffs on steel, aluminum, and copper imports
LOS ANGELES, June 1 (Reuters) - The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order modifying tariffs on some imports of copper, aluminum and steel.
The decree reduces fees on some agricultural equipment from 25 to 15 percent.
The White House said in a statement that the decree subjects mobile industrial equipment, such as bulldozers and forklifts, to a 15 percent tariff "when imported from countries that have qualifying trade agreements with the United States."
The White House stated that these changes will continue until December 31, 2027 "to stimulate short-term investments that will rebuild the United States' industrial base."
