Riyadh - Mubasher: Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, inaugurated the activities of the "Hafr Al-Batin Investment Forum 2025" at the headquarters of Hafr Al-Batin University on Wednesday, which is organized by the Hafr Al-Batin Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, in the presence of Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Governor of Hafr Al-Batin, and a number of local and international officials and investors.

The Emir of the Eastern Province witnessed the signing of 7 agreements worth 17 billion riyals in a number of targeted sectors, which will enhance the future of economic development and investment in Hafar Al-Batin, to become an attractive destination for local and international investors.

Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz stressed that Hafar Al-Batin Governorate enjoys competitive investment advantages in various economic activities, which makes it an ideal destination for investors to invest in and benefit from promising opportunities in order to enhance sustainable economic development and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, due to the support and interest the governorate receives from the leadership, which is keen to develop the infrastructure and exploit the governorate’s distinguished location to attract investments and provide job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the nation.

Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz added that today's forum came to shed light on the investment opportunities for the business sector, including national and international companies, not only in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate, to achieve the optimal benefit from the major competitive advantages that this region includes in its various cities, as this forum is one of the effective paths in its attempt to reveal the axes of investment excellence in Hafar Al-Batin, the incentives for the flow of foreign capital to it, and the opportunities to increase the local component in its investment products.

Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz pointed out that hopes are pinned on the private sector to contribute to the process of supporting development and growth, hoping that it will contribute positively to driving the wheel of investment and development in this governorate and the competitive advantages it enjoys.

For his part, the Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, explained that the trade system in the Kingdom is experiencing great economic glories and that Vision 2030 is leading the growth of all global economies, considering the Hafar Al-Batin Forum an opportunity to introduce the promising opportunities enjoyed by the governorate.

Al-Huwaizi praised the prominent economic role played by the Hafar Al-Batin Chamber in developing and attracting local and international investments, serving the business sector in the governorate, and its contribution to enhancing economic value.

In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hafar Al-Batin Chamber, Salman bin Hassan Al-Aqeel, stressed that the forum is a turning point in the path of development and investment in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate, and represents an important platform for presenting the promising investment opportunities that abound in it, and contributes to introducing its economic components and high competitive advantages in many sectors, including livestock, agriculture, health, logistics services and infrastructure.

Al-Aqeel stated that the convening of this forum coincides with the launch of the Eastern Province Development Authority’s comprehensive plan for Hafar Al-Batin, which aims to attract investments worth 47 billion riyals, most of which are from the private sector, and contribute more than 11 billion to the GDP and provide more than 60,000 job opportunities that benefit the sons and daughters of the governorate.

It is noteworthy that the Hafar Al-Batin Investment Forum 2025 witnessed the participation of 24 governmental and civil entities from 12 countries, and held 4 dialogue sessions with the participation of 19 speakers. A comprehensive economic study for Hafar Al-Batin Governorate was also launched, and a number of important economic projects and initiatives were announced that enhance the competitiveness of the governorate.
