WASHINGTON, May 27 (Reuters) - The U.S. military launched new airstrikes in Iran targeting a military site that officials concluded posed a threat to forces and maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, a U.S. official told Reuters on Wednesday.
The official, who asked not to be identified, added that the U.S. military also intercepted and shot down a number of Iranian drones that posed a threat.
