Rio Ferdinand takes stake in Saudi app to expand globally

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Ferdinand Group, founded by British football star Rio Ferdinand, announced its acquisition of a stake in the Saudi sports app Koora Break, with the aim of supporting the app’s expansion in Europe and Asia.
The deal is one of the first foreign investments in the Saudi sports sector since the launch of the Kingdom’s strategy to enhance its position as a global sports destination.
According to a statement issued by the group, Kora Break, which has recorded 800 million monthly views since its inception in 2022, seeks to expand its content to include multiple languages, targeting a global audience base, while the deal enhances Ferdinand Group’s expansion in the region.
