Ibri, Oman – ASUS, in collaboration with Intel, announced the opening of a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) lab at the Directorate General of Education in Al Dhahirah Governorate, Ibri. This initiative represents ASUS's first AI-focused project for education in the region, underscoring the company's commitment to driving innovation and promoting the adoption of AI technologies in the education sector .

The Artificial Intelligence Lab supports the Sultanate of Oman's ongoing efforts to develop students' skills, empower teachers, and promote scientific research. Artificial intelligence is a key pillar of Oman Vision 2040, reflecting the Sultanate's commitment to strengthening its position among the leading nations in AI readiness and building a knowledge-based economy .

ASUS designed the lab using a range of its AI-powered devices, including rugged Chromebooks , AI-enabled PCs, and all-in-one (AiO) devices for classrooms and labs, as well as high-performance AI-powered devices to meet the demands of advanced research. These devices are also sustainable and environmentally friendly, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint, and offer long battery life and robust connectivity, making them ideal for hybrid learning environments .

It is worth noting that the capabilities of the new Intel® Core™ Ultra processors enable devices to offer advanced AI-powered features, making them ideal for creativity, productivity, and professional performance. AI acceleration capabilities are integrated directly into the processor itself through three engines working together: the CPU, GPU, and NPU, to efficiently run AI applications and features. This project combines ASUS's innovative hardware design, Intel's enhanced AI technologies, and the proven local expertise of Bahwan Enterprises & Communications to deliver a seamless AI-powered experience. Among the ASUS products showcased in the lab are the award-winning ExpertBook P3405 , P5405 , B1403 , and B3405 laptops, along with a range of all-in-one desktop PCs .
