United Arab Emirates: The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ludovica University of Public Service, as part of strengthening international academic partnerships and expanding cooperation in the fields of research, training and institutional capacity building.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed on behalf of the Academy by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of the Academy, and on behalf of the University by Ms. Liliana Smekh, Director General of International Affairs, in the presence of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Hungary, His Excellency Saud Hamad Ghanem Hamad Al Shamsi.

The memorandum was signed during the World Government Summit 2026, reflecting the commitment of both sides to enhance international academic cooperation and to utilize global platforms for the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

Preparing national competencies

The memorandum of cooperation aims to support the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two sides, which contributes to the development of academic and training programs, and enhances cooperation on issues of common interest, in line with the Academy’s mission to prepare national competencies and promote academic and diplomatic dialogue at the regional and international levels.

The cooperation encompasses the exchange of information, research papers, studies, and knowledge within the scope of both parties' expertise, as well as seeking mechanisms for coordination and collaboration in training, communication, joint initiatives, and events. The memorandum also stipulates exploring the possibility of exchanging institutional expertise in various projects, organizing meetings, visits, and seminars on topics of mutual interest, and examining any other areas of cooperation that may be agreed upon in the future.

This memorandum comes in the context of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy’s keenness to expand its network of international partnerships with prestigious academic institutions, thereby enhancing the exchange of global expertise and supporting the development of diplomatic knowledge and international relations.
