Enhancing the capabilities of electronic order fulfillment in Saudi Arabia

The new center is located in Riyadh and operates across the Kingdom's logistics network. It is equipped with state-of-the-art climate control technology to ensure product quality throughout storage and distribution. The new center allows iHerb to increase its available inventory in the Kingdom, while also accelerating delivery times and enhancing customer service across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region.

Strengthening iHerb's regional presence

Commenting on the opening of the new center, Eamonn Zabihi, CEO of iHerb, said: “We are delighted to open the new shipping and delivery center in Riyadh, which is a pivotal step towards enhancing the global reach of the iHerb brand and deepening our presence in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region. The new center will contribute to reducing delivery times and increasing locally available stock, while maintaining the high quality levels that the company is known for around the world.”

Working with intermediary logistics companies to expand operations globally

The new center in Riyadh is operated and managed by CG Logistics, iHerb’s logistics intermediary partner, as part of a long-standing partnership dating back to 2018, when the company supported the launch of iHerb’s first international shipping and delivery center in Incheon, South Korea, which continues to operate under its management to this day.

This expansion is part of iHerb's strategy of working with specialized global logistics providers, ensuring efficient business growth while maintaining high standards of product quality and customer service. The center incorporates advanced, automated operational solutions, such as multi-functional shelving systems and intelligent cross-section sorting systems, enabling integrated and efficient management of storage and packaging operations.

For his part, Zach Thuman, Chief Operating Officer at iHerb, said: “The opening of the iHerb order distribution center in Riyadh represents a strategic leap forward in the brand’s global supply chain.” He added: “We are leveraging the high operational expertise of CG Logistics as our long-standing partner in success, ensuring consistency in service quality, speed in order fulfillment, and operational flexibility to support our continued growth in the region.”

Supporting Saudi Vision 2030 and enhancing the Kingdom's role as a regional logistics hub

The new iHerb center supports Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional hub for business, logistics, and e-commerce, and aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to diversify the economy and attract international investment. The center was supported by Riyadh Integrated Zone, the operator of the integrated logistics special zone, which helped iHerb establish its operations and ensure its long-term sustainability within the Kingdom.

Juan Robledo, General Manager of iHerb in the Middle East and North Africa, said: “The region is one of the fastest growing consumer markets in the world, due to the young, digitally literate demographic, along with growing purchasing power and increasing awareness of health and wellness. Our shipping and delivery center in Riyadh helps us meet our customers’ expectations by speeding up deliveries, expanding the product range, and localizing the shopping experience to suit the needs of consumers in the region.”

Global growth of the shipping network

The iHerb shipping and distribution center in Riyadh is the latest addition to its growing global network, which now includes six shipping and delivery centers in the United States and three international centers in Hong Kong, China, Incheon, South Korea, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. All of the company's centers comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) and ISO standards, and operate in controlled environments to ensure the highest levels of product quality and safety worldwide.
