Ajman, United Arab Emirates: Etihad Water and Electricity Company has been awarded ISO 55001:2024 certification for asset management, an achievement that reflects the company’s efforts to enhance operational excellence, improve operational efficiency, support infrastructure reliability, and achieve long-term sustainable value.
The certification covers the electricity and water transmission and distribution assets of the Union Water and Electricity Company throughout their lifecycle, confirming the company’s success in implementing a comprehensive asset management system consistent with internationally recognized best practices. It also reflects its ability to manage these assets efficiently, balancing performance, risk, cost and value, and thus supporting the achievement of its strategic objectives.
This achievement is of particular importance given that the asset management system was developed and implemented entirely by the capabilities of the work teams at the Union for Water and Electricity, demonstrating the efficiency of its technical and operational staff, and the company’s commitment to building sustainable institutional expertise.
