Abu Dhabi, UAE : EDGE Group has announced its participation as an enabler partner at Make in the UAE 2026, where it will showcase its outstanding achievements in supply chain localization, advanced manufacturing, national talent development, and technological innovation. This participation reflects EDGE’s position as a key pillar in supporting the UAE’s defense industrial sovereignty and its complete alignment with the objectives of the AED 300 billion project and the Make in the UAE initiative.
In this context, Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, said: “Developing a sovereign defense industry requires a long-term commitment, and EDGE has demonstrated its commitment to achieving this goal at all stages. Our consistent strategic focus over the years has enabled us to enhance our national readiness, build our resilience, and scale up manufacturing to meet sovereign defense needs on a large scale. It is commendable that more than 80% of EDGE systems are manufactured within the country today, as we continue to expand our network of partnerships locally and internationally to enhance technology transfer, localize critical capabilities, and secure supply chains.”
He added: “Our staff contributes to the design and delivery of globally competitive products that have earned the trust of international customers, which is reflected in the record purchase orders of US$7.96 billion in 2025. Our results are clear and tangible, and the Made in the UAE platform represents an opportunity to highlight our achievements and emphasize our commitment to continuing progress.”
EDGE Group continues to enhance its capabilities by integrating artificial intelligence into its manufacturing processes, solidifying its position at the forefront of advanced defense production systems. To that end, in 2025 the Group implemented more than 68 transformative projects related to advanced technologies, effectively doubling its production capacity across 13 of its subsidiaries. Furthermore, Bridge, EDGE’s innovation, operational excellence, and manufacturing arm, successfully recruited 5,276 advanced technology specialists and launched more than 57 programs that contribute to the development of defense systems design and manufacturing methodologies.
EDGE is participating in the main program of the exhibition, with His Excellency Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of the EDGE Group, participating in a strategic session entitled “Dealing with Change: Protecting Supply Chains and Enhancing Industrial Resilience,” while Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of the Group, is participating in a panel discussion entitled “Enhancing the National Security of the UAE.”
EDGE also plans to launch the " Innovate to Defend by EDGE " innovation challenge, which aims to encourage innovation and the development of solutions that support national security priorities, providing a platform for individuals to submit innovative ideas to address key national security challenges. It will offer awards and clear pathways for developing selected concepts into practical solutions, as well as opportunities to integrate them into the group's industrial ecosystem.
As part of its talent acquisition efforts, EDGE will launch a project-based engineering talent recruitment platform, inviting professionals from across the UAE to express their interest in registering. The platform offers engineers flexible, fixed-term contracts linked to high-impact programs, enabling them to leverage their expertise in key technology areas and advanced projects. EDGE’s talent acquisition team will be present at the event to provide interested parties with the necessary information and guide them through the platform's application process.
