Zawya - Press Releases: Transcorp and Elite join forces under the "Transcorp" brand to enhance the future of logistics in the Gulf.

Elite and Transcorp today announced the unification of their operations under the unified brand name “Transcorp”, following the completion of the merger of the two companies into an integrated regional logistics services entity.

The new entity will benefit from a suite of cutting-edge technologies used in the logistics sector, including advanced real-time tracking systems and smart operational indicators such as temperature monitoring, live shipment tracking, and instant visibility into shipment status, along with accurate operational data that enhances supply chain efficiency. This integrated digital system aims to empower customers with higher levels of transparency, control, and real-time visibility across their operations in various Gulf markets.

This integration represents a strategic step that enhances Transcorp's ability to expand at a faster pace, while continuing to deliver the innovative solutions and operational services that customers have relied on for years. The unified entity comprises more than 1,500 vehicles and handles over 20 million shipments annually for major corporations, strengthening its position to continue growing, expanding its customer base, and improving the efficiency of the logistics sector amidst increasing pressure on operating costs.

Hisham Al Bahar, the company's CEO, said: "Logistics costs in the region amount to about 17% of GDP, compared to about 10% in more mature markets. This gap will not be addressed by waiting, but rather by investing in efficiency, developing processes, and building operational capabilities that can address challenges before they become burdens on our customers."

Al-Bahar added: “For 37 years, Elite and Transcorp have succeeded in growing by solving challenges that our clients could not handle on their own. Operating today under the Transcorp brand reflects what we have become: an integrated regional platform capable of handling bigger challenges, in more markets, and for partners looking for more than just a logistics provider. I am particularly excited about the opportunities this consolidation will provide to support our clients’ ambitions in Saudi Arabia by offering them our full range of services.”

Over the past four years, Transcorp has established itself in Saudi Arabia as a leading provider of cold chain and refrigerated logistics solutions. With this integration, the company is transforming into a comprehensive logistics platform, offering for the first time in the Saudi market the full suite of services and solutions that Elite has successfully delivered across the Gulf region.

This expansion is in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, as Transcorp will provide companies in the Kingdom with integrated end-to-end logistics solutions, supported by higher operational efficiency, wider regional connectivity, advanced vision and tracking technologies, and a smoother and more flexible supply chain experience that meets the growing needs of the Saudi market.

Al-Bahar added: “We continue to get closer to our partners’ world, helping them overcome whatever stands between them and their end customers. Today, as one entity, we can do this across more markets, with greater capabilities, and on a wider scale than their businesses.”

He continued: “Over the past year, we have worked to build an entity that neither Elite nor Transcorp could have achieved individually; a company capable of executing more ambitious projects and ventures, while maintaining the hospitality and partnership-based approach that has always characterized our way of working.”

The launch of Transcorp’s unified platform represents a major milestone in the company’s long-term vision to become the leading provider of integrated logistics solutions in the region. Through continued investment in technology, infrastructure, and regional expansion, the company aims to deliver higher levels of value, efficiency, and reliability to its customers across the Gulf markets.

Transcorp will continue to manage its operations from its headquarters in Dubai, while providing services to clients in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar.
