Zawya - Press Releases: Trust 01 unveils AI-powered carbon intelligence platform in India, Singapore, and the Gulf to serve the Global South

Dubai, UAE: Trust 01, a specialist in carbon intelligence solutions and digital measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems, today announced the launch of a structured platform comprising three hubs aimed at mobilizing green finance and investment across the next generation of carbon markets. The roles of these hubs are: India as the technology engine, Singapore as the gateway to global carbon markets, and Dubai as the global dissemination and climate intelligence center .

This announcement coincides with the appointment of Dr. Ivano Iannelli as the strategic leader of Trust O1’s operations in the UAE. Dr. Iannelli is a seasoned expert in climate finance and development economics with over two decades of experience in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. From Dubai, he will be responsible for developing and leading the “Carbon Intelligence” specialization, institutionalizing a dedicated AI infrastructure, carbon intelligence algorithms, and Trust O1’s digital architecture for measurement, reporting, and verification, which will serve sovereign markets across the Global South on a large scale.

India
Technology Center

AI-powered analytics, digital measurement, reporting, and verification systems, and the Trust 01 blockchain tracking architecture. Supported by the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership (CEPP) Technology Services Corridor.

Singapore
Green Finance Center

Structured carbon finance, networks of buyers of internationally transferred mitigation outputs, Article 6 transaction mechanisms, access to leading global capital markets and carbon registry infrastructure.

Dubai
Climate Intelligence Center

The global publishing hub where technology, finance and policy converge in carbon intelligence products aimed at governments, businesses and sovereign registries across the Global South .

Well-thought-out structure

India (home to Trust O1’s core technology capabilities) forms the engineering foundation for the platform’s AI-driven analytics, digital measurement, reporting, and verification systems, and the company’s blockchain tracking infrastructure. The India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (in effect since May 2022) allows for the seamless flow of technology services between the two hubs. Singapore serves as a green finance infrastructure hub, connecting the origin of carbon assets with corporate capital and networks of internationally transferred mitigation output buyers. Dubai, chosen over established climate finance centers in Europe and North America, is where technology, finance, and policy converge to deliver carbon intelligence to governments, businesses, and sovereign registries in the Gulf region, Africa, and the Global South more broadly .

“The carbon market doesn’t need more intermediaries; it needs infrastructure: systems that transform raw emissions data into auditable, financeable, and policy-compliant assets, at the speed currently required by Article 6. The UAE is where technology, finance, and climate policy converge on a global scale .” Dr. Ivano Iannelli, Strategic Leader, Trust O1 UAE

Carbon intelligence: a category in formation

Trust 01 uses the term “carbon intelligence” to describe the convergence of expertise in the carbon market, AI-driven data analytics (specifically tailored for carbon applications and not borrowed from generic tools), digital infrastructure for measurement, reporting, and verification, and corporate policy consulting. This is embodied in its three-center architecture: technology built in India, capital structured in Singapore, and intelligence deployed from Dubai .

A record of achievements precedes the announcement

Trust 01's credentials are operational, not theoretical. The company served as the technology partner for the Democratic Republic of Congo's National Digital Carbon Credit Registry, one of two African sovereign registries launched within 72 hours during COP30 in Belém in November 2015, and built on the Trust 01 Chain architecture. The company is also a joint venture partner in Malawi's emerging carbon credit ecosystem. Both the Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi are among the Global South's leading sovereign markets in implementing Article 6, and Trust 01's three-center model is already operational there .
