Zawya - Press Releases: Magna AI and Emaar Executive collaborate to develop AI data centers in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Magna AI, a sovereign artificial intelligence company established in partnership with Trend Micro and WDH, and powered by advanced NVIDIA technologies, announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Emaar Executive, a company specializing in data center design, engineering, procurement and construction.

The agreement aims to support the planning, development and implementation of AI-specialized data centers in Saudi Arabia, in addition to providing a technological infrastructure that helps government agencies and private sector institutions in the Kingdom to develop and operate AI applications efficiently and securely, with the possibility of future expansion to the markets of the Middle East and North Africa region.

The agreement was signed in Riyadh on the sidelines of the “World Artificial Intelligence Expo 2026”, in the presence of Dr. Moataz Bin Ali, CEO of Magna AI, and Karthik Ramaswamy, CEO of Emaar Executive.

This partnership comes at a time when Saudi Arabia continues to accelerate its digital transformation efforts, with a growing need for advanced technological infrastructure to support the expanding use of artificial intelligence across various sectors.

Under the agreement, Magna AI will design and develop the AI infrastructure, including platforms and systems related to operation, security and governance, while Emaar Executive will lead the construction and implementation work, including building data centers and equipping the necessary infrastructure to operate them, field management and coordination with regulatory bodies.

In this regard, Dr. Moataz Bin Ali, CEO of Magna AI, said: “The strength of sovereign AI depends on the strength of the infrastructure upon which it is based, and this infrastructure must be built and managed according to the highest engineering standards within the Kingdom. Emaar Executive possesses the necessary engineering and implementation expertise to transform AI objectives into integrated data centers on the ground. Through this partnership, we look forward to enabling government entities and private institutions in Saudi Arabia to build a sophisticated AI infrastructure that they can control, and which is reliable and scalable.”

The collaboration between the two parties is expected to extend across various stages of infrastructure development, from initial phases to long-term operation. This includes identifying suitable locations, conducting feasibility studies, developing business models, integrating AI data center systems, improving energy efficiency, cooling, and sustainability, and ensuring secure operations that comply with Saudi Arabia's local data residency and cybersecurity requirements.

For his part, Karthik Ramaswamy, CEO of Emaar Executive, emphasized that building a national AI infrastructure requires advanced engineering expertise, strong local capabilities, and high-efficiency execution. He noted that combining the company's expertise in engineering, procurement, construction, and systems integration with Magna AI's expertise in AI factories enhances the ability to develop and operate data center infrastructure that supports the Kingdom's AI goals according to the highest standards required by government entities and businesses. He added that this partnership aims to support clients in transforming their AI ambitions into viable infrastructure and tangible results on the ground.

Magna AI is participating as the main sponsor of the World AI Expo 2026 in Riyadh, showcasing its integrated AI ecosystem, secure platforms, and advanced capabilities in sovereign AI. This collaboration reflects the company's commitment to building a strong strategic partnership network in Saudi Arabia and across the region, enabling government entities and businesses to adopt advanced AI solutions through a secure, well-governed infrastructure aligned with national priorities.
