Manama – Arabian Gulf University : His Excellency the President of the Arabian Gulf University, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al-Fuhaid, inaugurated the exhibition of quality initiatives organized by the university, which included a group of innovative development projects aimed at improving academic and administrative performance, and enhancing the innovation and digital transformation system within the university.

The organization of the exhibition comes within the framework of the university’s ongoing efforts to build a modern educational environment based on smart solutions, which contributes to creating a sustainable impact on the level of scientific research and the development of academic and student competencies.

The exhibition included a number of quality initiatives, most notably the Research Management System, which is an integrated digital system for organizing research proposals, monitoring projects, and documenting scientific outputs, thereby enhancing the efficiency of research production. The initiatives also included the Digital Promotions Platform for faculty members, which automates academic promotion procedures and facilitates their accurate and transparent monitoring, in addition to professional development programs for faculty members aimed at developing educational, research, and leadership skills and developing teaching methods according to the latest technological practices.

The exhibition also showcased the Skills Record (STAR) initiative, an electronic system for documenting students' extracurricular and training activities and building a skills portfolio that enhances their readiness for the job market. On the student front, the university launched the Student Leadership Program, which focuses on developing young leaders capable of taking responsibility and working as part of a team. The exhibition also featured the Peer Learning initiative, which allows students to support each other academically through a collaborative and stimulating learning environment.

In a statement on this occasion, the Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research, and Supervisor of Initiatives, Dr. Ghazi Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, affirmed that the exhibition of quality initiatives embodies the strategic direction of the Arabian Gulf University towards institutional innovation and digital transformation, noting that these projects represent a qualitative leap in the development of the educational and research process. He said: “The university is keen to adopt initiatives that place the student and faculty member at the heart of the development process, and contribute to improving the quality of education and scientific research, and enhancing competencies in accordance with the best global practices. This exhibition comes to embody the spirit of creativity and integrated work within the university, and confirms its commitment to creating a sustainable impact that serves the community and the region.”

The exhibition was held in the university lobby on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm, in the presence of a number of academic and administrative leaders, faculty members and students.
