Dubai, UAE – JLL, a leading global real estate and investment management company, has awarded Engie Solutions Middle East a contract to provide integrated facilities management services at The B1, a vibrant hub for diverse experiences and a thriving community in Dubai’s Al Barsha district. Under the contract, Engie Solutions will deliver a comprehensive suite of technical and operational services, including security operations, management of specialized IT systems, and maintenance of cooling plants.

The B1 is one of Dubai’s most prominent modern destinations, a vibrant community hub that combines shopping, dining and entertainment experiences in the heart of Al Barsha 1. The center features a diverse range of shops, restaurants and cafes, making it a magnet for residents and visitors seeking authentic experiences with a unique design character.

The awarding of this contract to Engie Solutions confirms the company’s growing reputation in providing comprehensive facilities management services for large commercial assets with high occupancy rates in the UAE.

Under the contract, Engie Solutions will also maintain several state-of-the-art water facilities throughout the center, and provide a dedicated field team working with support from the company’s main regional office, to ensure the continuity of operations for all retail facilities, restaurants, cafes and public areas in the center.

The B1 will also benefit from Engie Solutions’ smart operation and maintenance platform, a digital facilities management infrastructure that provides real-time asset monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts, and energy consumption analytics. This technology-driven approach will help reduce downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and support the center’s long-term sustainability goals. Furthermore, the company will pilot a smart restroom services prototype, installing IoT sensors to support data analytics, with the aim of enhancing customer experience and reinforcing sustainability principles.

In addition, energy audits and performance reviews will be conducted to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and to ensure that the highest operating standards are maintained sustainably.
