Riyadh : GE Aerospace ( NYSE:GE ) and Middle East Aircraft Engines Company (MEAEC) signed three new agreements to enhance the operational readiness of the Royal Saudi Air Force's F110 engine fleet and build local capabilities. Building on a decade-long partnership between the two companies, the agreements focus on the Royal Saudi Air Force's F110-129 engines and will also support other customers of the same engine model in the region. The agreements were signed at the World Defense Show in Riyadh.

These agreements represent the third phase of a long-term initiative, building on the success of similar first- and second-phase agreements, under which GE Aerospace provided comprehensive repair and maintenance services to Middle East Aircraft Engines Company. This initiative aims to ensure the continued supply of materials and the provision of comprehensive maintenance and repair services for the structural integrity program of the Royal Saudi Air Force's F110 engines. These agreements also underscore the two companies' shared vision of enhancing the safety, efficiency, and operational excellence of defense aircraft in the Middle East region.

We are also collaborating to expand maintenance and technical support capabilities for F110-129 engines within the Kingdom, ensuring long-term material availability and delivering the highest standards of safety and performance required by our customers in the Kingdom and the region. This achievement also reinforces localization efforts in support of Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to local industrial development and building key, independent capabilities in the field of aviation maintenance and support.”

For his part, Salim Muslim, Vice President of Defense and Systems for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey at GE Aerospace, said: “Our established partnership with Middle East Aircraft Engines is a clear testament to our shared vision of enhancing local capabilities and ensuring the highest levels of operational readiness for our customers. These agreements will significantly increase engine availability, streamline overall maintenance and repair processes, and directly support the vital missions of the Royal Saudi Air Force. As a trusted partner of the Kingdom, we are proud to provide high-quality services to Middle East Aircraft Engines, reducing maintenance burdens and service interruptions for its vital F110 engine fleet.”

Under the F110-129 engine materials support agreement, GE Aerospace will provide the core engine structural integrity program kits ( F110-129 engine parts) to support Middle East Aircraft Engines Company ( MEAEC) in performing necessary maintenance on the Royal Saudi Air Force’s F110-129 engines within the Kingdom.
