Dubai: The UAE government celebrated the graduation of the sixth batch of participants in the Government Accelerators Diploma, which is supervised by the Government Accelerators Center in the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, as part of national initiatives aimed at consolidating methodologies for accelerating achievement and promoting the adoption of the challenges model in developing government work.

The sixth batch included 49 participants from 39 governmental, semi-governmental and private entities, who worked on addressing 40 challenges within 4 main areas, including 24 challenges in government efficiency and zero bureaucracy, 3 challenges in enhancing quality of life, 7 challenges in community service, and 6 challenges in knowledge and empowerment, with the support of the government accelerators working groups.

The Government Accelerators Diploma aims to prepare and qualify national competencies in the governmental and semi-governmental sectors by providing them with governmental accelerators methodologies and tools, and developing creative leadership skills, thereby enhancing their ability to lead the culture of acceleration and manage change in their workplaces .

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, affirmed that the Government Accelerators Diploma represents a national laboratory for developing a culture of accelerating achievement and building competencies capable of shortening the time between decision-making and achieving impact. He pointed out that investing in capable national competencies constitutes a fundamental pillar for transforming government visions into tangible results that positively reflect on the efficiency of government work and the quality of life of society.

His Excellency said that the graduation of the sixth batch of the Government Accelerators Diploma comes as an extension of the journey of building specialized government capabilities in managing challenges and creating cross-sectoral solutions, noting that the real challenge in light of the accelerating changes does not lie in setting plans, but in the ability to turn them into results before circumstances overtake them .

Huda Al-Hashemi: Designing more flexible and efficient workflows

For her part, Her Excellency Huda Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, affirmed that what distinguishes graduates of the Government Accelerators Diploma is not limited to possessing the tools and methodologies, but rather their ability to reformulate traditional administrative approaches and design more flexible and efficient work paths, which enhances the government’s ability to achieve exceptional results in an environment that requires both rapid adaptation and precise implementation.

She added that since its launch in April 2019, the Government Accelerators Diploma has been able to organize and complete 6 batches, graduating 266 participants from governmental, semi-governmental and private entities, who worked on addressing 161 diverse challenges in various sectors and areas of government work. Its programs also witnessed the participation of more than 172 entities, with diligent and direct support from members of the Government Accelerators teams .

It is worth mentioning that the government accelerators launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, represent an innovative government model that brings together work teams from government agencies, the private and academic sectors within one system, to develop innovative solutions, accelerate achievement and achieve results that exceed targets, thus enhancing the government’s readiness to face future challenges .
