The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through SAL Logistics, a national leader in freight handling, logistics solutions and supply chain management, signed a memorandum of understanding with the dry port in King Salman Energy City (SPARK Logistics) to contribute to supporting the logistics services system in the Kingdom.
The memorandum sets out a general framework for cooperation between the two parties to explore joint opportunities in the logistics, supply chain and industry sectors, reflecting the commitment of both sides to enhance operational integration, support industrial and logistics development and contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
SPARK is one of the leading integrated industrial cities in the Eastern Province, featuring a logistics services zone and a dry port that connect its industrial community to regional and global trade networks. The memorandum combines SAL's expertise in cargo handling and integrated logistics with SPARK's advanced industrial and logistics infrastructure, contributing to shared value and supporting the Kingdom's economic development goals.
Under this memorandum, the two parties will explore opportunities for cooperation in logistics, supply chain solutions, and integrated services, and examine areas of operational integration to support industrial and logistics projects. Areas of cooperation also include exploring opportunities for providing warehousing and transportation services.
This memorandum confirms SAL’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that contribute to enhancing integration between the logistics and industrial sectors in the Kingdom, and expanding the role of logistics services as an enabler of industrial and commercial growth, in support of the Kingdom’s position as a global center for trade, transport and logistics services within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
