Zawya - Press Releases: "Shein" expands its corporate social responsibility efforts in Saudi Arabia through key initiatives to support children and community inclusion.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: SHEIN, the world’s leading online fashion and lifestyle retailer, is expanding its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in Saudi Arabia through two prominent partnerships supporting healthcare for children and children with disabilities. These latest initiatives embody SHEIN’s ongoing mission to establish a strong presence in the Kingdom through valuable partnerships that empower youth, children, and women, fostering a more inclusive and supportive society. These efforts are closely aligned with national priorities, including Vision 2030, by promoting community development and the private sector’s role in generating sustainable positive change.
In December 2025, SHEIN entered into a partnership agreement with the Children with Disabilities Association to support the association's essential therapeutic and rehabilitative programs. SHEIN's donations supported physical therapy sessions for children with disabilities. This collaboration enables more children to grow, learn, and build a better future. As part of the partnership, SHEIN visited the King Fahd Rehabilitation Center in Riyadh to experience firsthand the comprehensive care and educational services provided.
Shein also signed a memorandum of understanding in January 2026 with the Wareef Charitable Society, the charitable arm of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre. This partnership focuses on specialized care for children, particularly those facing challenging health conditions. Shein's donations supported the establishment of a pediatric liver transplant unit in Riyadh. The unit provides young patients and their families with greater access to essential services and renewed hope for the future.
Building on SHEIN’s impressive track record of positive social impact worldwide, these two latest projects are part of SHEIN’s comprehensive portfolio of corporate social responsibility activities in the Middle East. Previous efforts include the “Threads of Happiness” campaign, an eco-friendly clothing recycling initiative in partnership with Kiswah that benefited 40,000 people during Ramadan; the “Powered by Love” campaign, a leading platform for autism inclusion that supports fundraising, the creation of sensory rooms, and interaction with families, selling over 140,000 units and providing direct assistance to a huge number of children and families; the “Gloomood and the Pink Caravan” campaign, a partnership with the Friends of Cancer Patients Society to sponsor mobile breast cancer screening clinics during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, providing free screenings, education, and early detection to 395 women, exceeding targets and promoting women’s health; and the “Purple Saturday” campaign, in which SHEIN collaborated with the Saudi Commission for Disability Affairs, the government body responsible for supporting people with disabilities. The campaign was designed to empower shoppers with disabilities through inclusive offers and awareness activities.
Shein remains committed to collaborating with trusted local institutions across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, continuing to focus on empowering children, youth, and women to help build more just, resilient, and compassionate communities, while promoting a spirit of philanthropy and cementing its position as a leading and responsible company in the region.
