The United Arab Emirates, the “Emirates Committee for the Care of Sports Talents and Support of National Sports” announced a strategic partnership with the MST Sports Academy, which specializes in training emerging talents and young people in various sports, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports, in a step based on developing cooperation between the government and national institutions in the private sector to enhance the industry of sports champions and refine their skills by facilitating their access to sports and professional training.
This partnership reinforces the role of sports in building a healthy and cohesive society, through summer sports activities that bring together talents from early age groups with the support of their parents, in line with the goals of the "Year of the Family" and promotes social cohesion.
Through this partnership, the committee contributes to expanding the scope of the academy’s work by supporting its efforts to establish two new summer centers in Dubai in addition to its current center, as well as providing it with the necessary sports equipment and facilities, which contributes to developing an integrated training environment in accordance with the best global practices.
His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for the Sports Development and Competitiveness Sector at the Ministry of Sports, Chairman of the UAE Committee for the Care of Sports Talents and Support of National Sports, said: “This partnership stems from our keenness to support the growth of sports academies and training centers, especially summer ones, and to enable national private sector institutions to develop their capabilities, which contributes to enhancing the process of discovering and nurturing talents within stimulating training environments, to build a sustainable sports base for the future.”
His Excellency added: “This qualitative partnership reflects the Committee’s commitment to supporting local sports projects and ambitious national sports initiatives and enhancing their growth and sustainability opportunities. It highlights the importance of the role of sports in strengthening family ties, in line with government directions, by providing advanced and innovative sports environments that bring family members together and encourage them to practice physical activity together, which enhances community cohesion and quality of life, and serves the national sports sector.”
For his part, Ahmed Al Marri, founder of MST Academy, expressed his pride in this partnership, stressing that it represents an important milestone in the academy’s journey. He said: “The idea of establishing the academy came from my experience as a father, and from my passion for sports that began in the neighborhood, where I realized the importance of providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to practice sports and develop their skills from a young age.”
Al Marri added: “We are grateful for the support provided by the UAE Committee for the Care of Sports Talents and the Support of National Sports, which will enable us to expand our work and reach a larger number of young and emerging talents. We are also keen for the academy to be a space that brings parents together with their sons and daughters, and encourages them to spend quality time with them through sports, which enhances family bonding and instills a healthy lifestyle in future generations.”
