Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates : “Make in the UAE 2026,” the leading national platform for industrial growth and transformation, announced the participation of the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council “Tawazun” as a strategic partner in its fifth edition, which will take place from May 4 to 7, 2026, at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center.
The platform is considered the most prominent industrial event in the UAE, as it is a key driver of the growth of the manufacturing sector and technological progress. “Made in the UAE” also provides a global platform for innovation, cooperation and investment.
The "Made in the UAE" events are hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, organized by the ADNEC Group, and in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, ADNOC, and Al Emad Holding Company.
The participation of the Defense Empowerment Tawazun Council embodies its commitment to supporting the UAE’s vision of becoming a leading global hub for future industries and advanced technology through its role as a key enabler of the defense industries sector. The Council continues to focus on aligning national efforts with the state’s strategic priorities in vital sectors, based on its role in supporting defense procurement by ensuring the strategic alignment of acquisition programs with long-term national capability requirements, while adhering to the principles of maximizing added value and industrial localization goals, in parallel with empowering national competencies, driving the innovation system, and enhancing the integration of national institutions within global value chains for defense industries and advanced technologies.
The Defense Empowerment Tawazun Council’s keenness to participate in “Make in the UAE” as a strategic partner stems from its orientations to support the integration of the country’s industrial sectors, enhance efforts to localize industries, attract strategic investments, accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, and build national capabilities, in support of the UAE’s strategic goals towards a competitive industrial economy based on innovation and knowledge.
Since its establishment in 1992, the Defence Empowerment Tawazun Council has played a pivotal role in driving technological progress, economic diversification, and supporting the defence and security sectors in the UAE.
During its participation in the “Made in the UAE 2026” platform, the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council is showcasing its innovative projects and initiatives, along with opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that contribute to the development of the UAE’s defense industries ecosystem. The Council is also highlighting its programs aimed at developing regulatory frameworks, conformity assessment systems, standards, and accreditation in the defense industries sector, thereby enhancing quality, increasing the efficiency of the defense sector, and strengthening industrial sustainability and the resilience of the national system.

"Make in the UAE" is the leading national platform for driving the growth of the industrial sector in the UAE, and it is held annually. In its fifth edition, the platform brings together decision-makers, industry leaders, global investors, entrepreneurs, and innovators, with the aim of fostering strategic partnerships, mobilizing investments, and accelerating the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and artificial intelligence in priority sectors.
