Madinah: stc Group continues its role in serving the guests of God, through an integrated system of digital solutions and infrastructure supported by artificial intelligence technologies that keep pace with the movement of pilgrims to Madinah after completing the Hajj rituals, which contributes to enriching their digital experience and staying in constant contact during their visit to the Prophet’s Mosque.

As part of its proactive preparations to keep pace with the peak of the annual visit, stc has completed the implementation of a wide range of technical and operational enhancements aimed at raising network efficiency and enhancing the reliability of digital services, ensuring the capacity to accommodate the expected growth in communications and data traffic during this stage of the season.

The group expanded its coverage in the central area surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque through more than 65 network sites, in addition to enhancing indoor coverage projects in hotels, buildings and facilities designated for the accommodation of pilgrims by deploying more than 3,500 indoor antennas ( IBS ), ensuring a high-quality connectivity experience in the most densely populated and digitally used locations.

stc also enhanced its network capabilities by deploying more than 500 advanced antennas in the courtyards and entrances of the Prophet’s Mosque, which contributes to raising the quality of coverage and improving the user experience, in parallel with increasing the network’s capacity by 18% to keep pace with the rapid growth in data and call traffic during the visitation season.

In addition to enhancing operational flexibility and service continuity, the group has allocated more than 450 sites for the BCN (Border Communications Network) to support stakeholders and enable rapid response to emergencies, thereby enhancing the integration of operational efforts and ensuring the highest levels of reliability at vital sites.

stc relies on an intelligent operating system to monitor and manage network performance in real time through automated solutions and advanced analytics, enabling proactive responses to operational changes and continuous network efficiency improvement. It has also deployed specialized technical teams working around the clock, supported by 23 field maintenance centers strategically located to ensure the highest levels of technical readiness and service continuity during peak times.

These efforts reflect the scale of the digital and operational investments that the group has dedicated to serving the pilgrims, through an advanced infrastructure and a smart operational system that ensures a high-quality communication experience for millions of visitors.
