Dubai, United Arab Emirates: His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with Sir John Rose, Vice Chairman of the Rothschild & Co. Group, accompanied by Saeed Al Awar, Partner and President of Rothschild & Co. in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by Engineer Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence; and Engineer Marwan bin Haider, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority.

The meeting addressed ways to expand the scope of large-scale global operations, which require high levels of reliability, operational excellence, and long-term planning. The two sides also discussed innovative financing structures for long-term infrastructure projects, international expansion strategies for the region's utilities sector, and practical pathways that enable the authority to maximize the value gained from global growth opportunities.

His Excellency Saeed Al Tayer affirmed that the Authority adopts a forward-looking vision, and continues to explore strategic partnerships and implement best practices that contribute to enhancing resilience, maximizing the value achieved, and supporting its long-term strategic goals at the local and global levels.

The meeting comes amid growing momentum in Dubai’s financial sector, where many global financial and consulting firms, including Rothschild & Co., have strengthened their presence and expanded their activities in the emirate in recent years.
