The opening of this center comes in response to the growing demand for practical and applied clinical training, as healthcare professionals across the region seek to develop their surgical skills and adopt advanced surgical techniques .

MedLab Training Institute has the capacity to accommodate approximately 1,000 to 1,500 healthcare professionals annually, including consultants, specialists, and early-career practitioners. These training programs are delivered by a select group of international professors, regional experts, and industry partners, providing trainees with exposure to diverse surgical approaches and techniques.

This elite group includes a consultative body of surgeons and specialists with extensive experience in clinical practice and academic work, many of whom work in leading teaching hospitals and universities throughout Europe, North America and the Middle East.

On this occasion , Marwan Abdul Aziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group – Dubai Science Park, affirmed that the opening of the new surgical training center for MedLab Training Institute at Dubai Science Park embodies the strength of the UAE's healthcare and life sciences system and reflects its growing ability to attract leading talent and specialized skills in the field of surgical training. The new center includes laboratories for applied anatomical training, advanced audio-visual systems for live demonstrations and recordings, and dedicated spaces for interactive learning and hands-on experiences. Practical anatomical training plays a central role in this center, enabling medical professionals to dissect real specimens in a safe medical environment. This contributes to enhancing the accuracy of surgical procedures, strengthening specialists' confidence in their skills, and ensuring better patient outcomes. These programs offer accredited training courses where required, in accordance with relevant regulatory frameworks and accreditation standards. Most training programs last between one and three days, with intensive practical training sessions that can last up to eight hours per day.

The center offers training courses in several surgical specialties, including orthopedics and spine surgery, sports injury surgery, maxillofacial surgery, and reconstructive surgery .

For his part, Dr. Bilal Al-Yafawi, CEO of the MedLab Training Institute, indicated that the institute aspires to elevate the level of surgical training through practical, experience-based education within a realistic clinical environment.
