On this occasion, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), said:

His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, participated in the Ministerial Roundtable for the “Sustainable Development Goals 2045” initiative, where he highlighted the Fund’s commitment to supporting strategic development and promoting international cooperation, stressing the importance of adopting flexible financing models that are adaptable to rapidly changing global circumstances.
High-Level Investment Forum – Latin America and the Caribbean
The High-Level Investment Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean also witnessed the active participation of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, where Mr. Rashid Mohammed Al Kaabi, Acting Deputy Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, reviewed the most prominent qualitative initiatives launched by the Fund in financing renewable energy projects in the Caribbean islands, the Abu Dhabi Global Water Platform initiative, which aims to enhance water security, and the Artificial Intelligence for Development initiative in Africa, which consolidates the Fund’s role in supporting the development priorities of various countries around the world.

Based on the growing strategic relationship between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, participated in a high-level dialogue session, where he discussed the importance of strengthening international partnerships, stressing the importance of employing innovative financing tools and harnessing them to support the achievement of the development agenda of developing countries. During the session, His Excellency highlighted the quality projects that the Fund financed in Uzbekistan, and their firm impact on improving the quality of life of the population.
Agreement to finance social housing project - Seychelles
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development signed an agreement with the Republic of Seychelles to finance a social housing project worth AED 32 million, with the aim of providing 80 housing units for low-income families, thereby enhancing social stability, improving quality of life, and supporting sustainable urban development .
Financing Agreement for the Rogun Hydropower Station Project - Tajikistan
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development signed an agreement with the Republic of Tajikistan to finance the Ragon Hydroelectric Power Plant project with a value of AED 376 million, which is one of the most prominent projects supporting energy and water security, within the framework of activating the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Global Water Platform and promoting sustainable financing solutions.
Satellite launch agreement with capacity allocated to the fund - Orbit Works Company
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development signed a cooperation agreement with Orbit Works, which aims to launch a satellite with a capacity dedicated to the Fund, in cooperation with a select group of local partners. The new satellite will contribute to monitoring the progress of development and investment projects financed by the Fund in various countries around the world, thereby enhancing the efficiency of monitoring and the accuracy of data evaluation, and supporting decision-making based on advanced technology and innovation in development work.
Agreement to support agricultural projects - IFAD
The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development signed a cooperation agreement with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which aims to strengthen the strategic partnership and integrate roles in various fields, supporting the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and developing more efficient and flexible innovative financing models that contribute to addressing food, agricultural and climate security challenges, and improving the quality of life of the population in rural areas .

UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum
