Zawya - Press Releases: Huawei unveils the upgraded version of its Xinghe smart network, powered by secure intelligent connectivity, to accelerate the transformation towards comprehensive intelligence in Africa.

[Cairo, Egypt]: Egypt’s new capital witnessed the first global launch of the Huawei Networks Summit 2026 ( HNS 2026 ), during which it unveiled the upgraded version of the Xinghe smart network dedicated to the North Africa region, based on the concept of “secure smart connectivity”, and aims to enhance prospects for shared growth with customers and partners in the era of Agentic AI , supporting the comprehensive digital transformation of various industries in the continent.

As part of its strategic vision for this launch, Yang Chaobin, CEO of Huawei's ICT Business Group, emphasized that "enterprise networks are becoming increasingly AI-centric; the goal is no longer simply speed, but rather more advanced capabilities such as lossless computing, integrated sensing and communications, comprehensive security, and network autonomy." He added that "Huawei is working to establish an AI-for-all vision, supported by a secure IP architecture."

In the same context, Rock Chen, Huawei’s Vice President for North Africa (North, West and Central Africa), stressed that artificial intelligence and security are the two main pillars for the future of networks, explaining that the company has launched five comprehensive strategies in the region to cooperate with the government, education and financial services sectors to build an advanced and secure infrastructure.

He added that these pillars contribute to ensuring business continuity and enhancing infrastructure intelligence, which supports the achievement of comprehensive intelligence for various industries in Africa.

The new solutions included pioneering technologies such as Pre Wi-Fi 8, which doubles wireless performance; iFlashboot 2.0 technology to ensure uninterrupted AI inference; Agentic SOC for building an independent security operating system; and an industry-unique integrated smart security panel that provides advanced protection against wide area network ( WAN ) attacks.

This update also includes a range of innovative products and solutions that are ready to deal with various scenarios, most notably the comprehensive Campus Network , which meets the growing demand for securing enterprise environments, and the enhanced version of StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0 , to enhance the resilience of data center networks ( DCN ).

The summit concluded with a ceremony honoring its partners in success, most notably the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company, Egyptian National Railways, and Talaat Moustafa Group, in recognition of their efforts and cooperation over the past decade.

Through this recognition, Huawei affirms its commitment to continue working with its partners to capitalize on smart transformation opportunities and leverage the full potential of the upgraded Xinghe network to create sustainable value for all vital sectors in Africa.
