Zawya - Press Releases: The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, and the IMI Media Academy launch "Industrial Content Leaders"

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in cooperation with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation and the IMI Media Academy, which is part of the IMI Group, launched the national program “Industrial Content Leaders” on the sidelines of the “Made in the UAE 2026” platform, in a strategic step aimed at preparing an Emirati generation that possesses modern media storytelling skills, and is able to convey the story of national industry in innovative ways that keep pace with the rapid transformations in the media and technology sectors.

The program aims to qualify and empower young Emiratis to understand and express the vital industrial sectors in the country through creative content supported by artificial intelligence tools, thereby contributing to enhancing the industrial narrative of the UAE and consolidating its presence on the global industrial map.

The program also focuses on developing participants’ skills in creating specialized content and using the latest digital technologies, and deepening their knowledge of the role of national industry in supporting industrial competitiveness and enhancing the resilience of supply chains, through a practical educational experience that combines industrial knowledge, media creativity, and the use of modern technology.

Three integrated stages

The program is based on three integrated stages, beginning with the knowledge base, through which participants become familiar with the concepts of national industry and its most prominent sectors, followed by the media production stage using artificial intelligence tools, leading up to the final stage in which young people develop national projects that they lead themselves, thus establishing a sustainable system for industrial content creators in the country.

His Excellency Osama Amir Fadl, Assistant Undersecretary for the Accelerators Sector at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, said: “The ‘Industrial Content Leaders’ program embodies the Ministry’s orientation towards investing in human capital and building an Emirati generation that possesses industrial awareness, digital skills, and the ability to express the story of national industry in innovative ways. The industrial sector represents a key pillar in the country’s economic development journey, and instilling an understanding of it in new generations contributes to strengthening industrial culture and motivating them to contribute in the future to vital and advanced technological sectors.”

For her part, Dr. Sonia Bin Jafar, CEO of the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, said: “The Emirati youth telling their nation’s story in their own voices represents an extension and continuity of this story,” noting that the partnership will allow participants to learn firsthand about the industrial transformation in the UAE, in addition to developing practical skills in artificial intelligence, media, and storytelling. She added: “The program will enable participants to contribute to documenting an important stage in the country’s development through the lens of a generation that grew up with its ambitions and values, and bears the responsibility of conveying its story to the future.”

For his part, Ali Al Hammadi, Chief Operating Officer of the group, said   IMI Media: “Through this collaboration, we seek to prepare a new generation of content creators, capable of presenting a contemporary Emirati industrial narrative using the latest media and artificial intelligence tools, thereby enhancing the presence of the Emirati industry story on various platforms.”

He added: “The ability to craft compelling narratives has become an essential part of building and strengthening industries. Through the IMI Media Academy, we are investing in this program to prepare a new generation of Emirati content creators, equipped with the media, technology, and artificial intelligence tools to convey the UAE’s industrial ambitions to audiences around the world.”

This program aims to empower young talents to tell stories that promote national identity, highlight innovation, and put the UAE's industrial sector on the global stage."

The program is scheduled to begin this summer and will run for four months. For inquiries and registration details, those interested in participating can contact the IMI Media Academy via email at askacademy@imimedia.com
