Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Finance announced that total tax revenues collected from value-added tax and excise tax and distributed to the federal and local governments amounted to more than 46 billion dirhams in 2025, compared to about 41 billion dirhams in 2024, an increase of 15%.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Hadi Al-Husseini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, affirmed that tax revenues reflect the robustness of the financial approach adopted by the UAE, and its ability to support stable government resources that contribute to strengthening financial balance and keeping pace with developmental and economic priorities during the next phase .
His Excellency added that the recorded financial data highlights the maturity of the financial and tax framework in the country, and its transparency and discipline in managing public resources, which enhances confidence in government performance and supports long-term planning based on clear and sustainable foundations. He pointed out that the Ministry of Finance continues, in cooperation with the relevant federal and local authorities, to consolidate more integrated mechanisms for managing public revenues, which raises the quality of performance and enhances the readiness of financial policies to deal with the requirements of economic growth and future transformations .
His Excellency explained that tax revenues constitute a supporting tributary to public finances, within an institutional framework based on coordination, discipline and clarity of roles, indicating that continuing to strengthen this framework contributes to supporting development paths and consolidating the competitiveness of the UAE economy .
