Zawya - Press Releases: TACTICA AI Launches the Region's First AI Platform to Support Critical Operational Decisions

  • The platform was showcased during the Make in UAE 2026 exhibition, and its efficiency was verified through real-world use in critical operating environments.
  • Developed in Abu Dhabi with a global vision, the platform integrates with strategic partnerships including the French company Safran and the Polish company Satim .

Abu Dhabi, UAE – TACTICA AI , an Abu Dhabi-based startup, today announced its multi-sector platform for supporting informed decision-making, as part of its participation in the “Made in the UAE 2026” exhibition. The platform was designed in response to the increasing complexity of operational environments and the need for faster and more accurate decisions, transforming disparate information, sensor data, and operational data into actionable, real-time decisions.

TACTICA AI has proven its effectiveness in real-world operational environments. It is the first platform of its kind developed in the region, offering a new category of operational AI that goes beyond traditional dashboards and analytics tools to support decision-making at the task and process levels. The platform's core technology was developed by the Technology Innovation Institute, the applied research arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council, in less than 35 days and has already been deployed in critical applications and environments. The platform aims to enable organizations to move from data to decision-making faster, with greater coordination and confidence.

It also combines geospatial intelligence, which relies on satellite imagery, radar, maps, and geographic data to understand what is happening on the ground, with open-source intelligence, which is based on publicly available information to provide broader context for operations. The platform integrates live video data, sensors, IoT systems, and logs from previous phases. The TACTICA AI platform uses proxy AI coordination techniques to first define the operational objective, before dynamically determining the appropriate data sources, tools, models, and workflows to support the mission. This approach represents a fundamental shift in how operators handle complex systems.

Unlike traditional systems that rely on static dashboards or manual analysis, TACTICA AI enables task execution based on desired outcomes. The platform helps define what needs to be achieved, rather than simply specifying the sensor or data provider to use. This allows for the creation of a unified operational picture encompassing various teams, domains, and data sources, fostering seamless integration between analysis, decision-making, and execution, while still allowing human intervention in critical decision-making processes.

In this regard, Dr. Najwa Al-Araj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute, said:
“TACTICA AI reflects the next generation of sovereign AI, where systems not only analyze data but also support the ability to take effective action based on it. In complex operational environments, speed and clarity of vision are critical factors in determining outcomes. By developing a task-based decision-making platform from Abu Dhabi, the Technology Innovation Institute continues to develop solutions that serve real operational needs and enhance national capabilities, resilience, and independence.”

TACTICA AI is designed to support a wide range of uses across vital sectors including defense and national security, crisis management and emergency response, critical infrastructure, smart cities, mobility, energy, utilities, environment and sustainability, and industrial and logistics operations.

The platform combines proprietary AI models developed within the Institute of Technology Innovation's research ecosystem with best-in-class global models and technologies from external providers. Its flexible architecture allows for the integration of multiple technologies from different vendors, rather than limiting users to a single system or resource. It also supports natural language interaction, reasoning, and action execution, along with the digitization and organization of standard operating procedures (SOPs). This provides real-time support to analysts and operators while maintaining human oversight in critical operational decision-making processes.

Dr. Shawqi Al-Qasimi, speaking on behalf of TACTICA AI, said: “TACTICA AI moves the operating model from simply displaying data to supporting actual decision-making. The platform unifies data, task routing, workflows, and AI agents within a single operational layer, with the ability to be easily integrated into existing infrastructures. It is not a traditional analytics tool, but rather an advanced operational capability designed to support decisions in the most demanding environments.”

The platform enables organizations to reduce manual operational burdens, break down isolation between systems and teams, and enhance coordination in complex and multi-source environments.

TACTICA AI has also entered into partnerships with leading global players in geospatial image analysis, including the French company Safran and the Polish company Satim, which enhances its ability to integrate advanced capabilities within a global system of data and operational technology.

The platform can also be operated within high-performance containerized computing environments, providing mobile capabilities to support decision-making in the field of geospatial intelligence, especially in operational environments that require speed, flexibility, and high availability.

The unveiling of TACTICA AI underscores Abu Dhabi’s growing role as a global hub for applied intelligence and advanced technology, where pioneering research is translated into real-world operational applications. By integrating data, AI agents, goal-driven task routing, and workflow digitization, TACTICA AI provides a platform that supports more accurate and effective decision-making in time- and coordination-sensitive environments.
