PRESSR: Savills Egypt to achieve EGP 2.76 billion in tenant sales in 2024

Strengthening Savills Egypt's position as a leading real estate consultancy through strong visitor footfall to managed properties, the launch of prestigious brands, and the achievement of clear sustainability indicators.

Cairo, Egypt: Savills Egypt, a leading real estate consultancy, announced that it achieved EGP 2.76 billion in tenant sales across its managed portfolio in 2024, according to its latest report, "Highlights: Managing Real Estate Projects." This performance reflects the company's strategic focus on tenant experience, operational efficiency, and enhancing real estate assets in accordance with sustainability principles (Environmental, Social, and Governance - ESG).

Exceptional expansion and strong operating results

Savills Egypt manages nine mixed-use real estate projects across the country, welcoming nearly 17 million customers in 2024. The company supervised 738 tenants, contributed to the opening of 120 new stores, and organized 102 events that attracted more than 1.75 million visitors. It also completed more than 13,000 operations and maintenance orders, a clear indication of its rapid response and effective field presence.

Transforming environmental , social, and governance commitments into practical reality

Resource-saving environmental results were a key aspect of Savills Egypt's 2024 record. At one of the company's managed facilities, 83% of waste was recycled, and water consumption was reduced by 16% thanks to the installation of flow regulators and automated irrigation systems. Despite a 7% increase in occupancy, electricity consumption was reduced by 2% thanks to integrated smart software and systems.

Renewable energy use saw significant growth, with 11.4% of electricity provided by solar panels, while electric vehicle infrastructure expanded with the addition of 12 charging stations and two charging locations for electric scooters and bicycles. The introduction of a building management system (BMS) at chilled water plants contributed to savings of 9.5% in electricity, 21.3% in gas, and 12% in water compared to 2023.

Savills Egypt's community initiatives over the past year included organizing annual charity bazaars and pavilions, as well as promoting community engagement through workshops and artwork displays using recycled materials.

Pioneering vision

Corina Stamati, Head of Real Estate Management at Savills Egypt, said: “The achievements we have achieved this year are the result of close collaboration with our clients, tenants, and local community partners. We are proud not only of the sales volume or the number of visitors to our events, but also of how we have integrated the values of sustainability, innovation, and user experience into all aspects of our operations. Real estate management today is all about creating destinations that people want to be part of.”

Innovation in the retail sector and market-leading concepts

Savills Egypt's assets saw the debut of a number of unique new brands in 2024, including Africa's first Chuck E-Cheese branch, Cairo's first indoor padel lounge, Egypt's first SSS, Lotus Car, and Smart Car showroom. The portfolio also saw the opening of Carrefour's first branch in the New Administrative Capital, as well as the grand openings of prestigious brands such as Aubaine London, Daily Dose, and Passionelle, along with the launch of Kamelizer's first co-working space in West Cairo.

Revitalizing destinations through events and culture

Savills Egypt has successfully transformed its real estate assets into vibrant destinations through large-scale events and innovative entertainment programs. The Lydia Akram Bazaar (LA Market) attracted over 25,000 visitors, while the Lokamania Bazaar attracted over 20,000 visitors. Savills Egypt's entertainment program also included iconic events such as the Egyptian Rodeo, exclusive premieres of The Goats and Beyond the Tank in partnership with Vodafone, along with numerous promotional activities and marketing campaigns. Driven by this momentum, Savills Egypt attracted 17 million consumers to the properties managed during 2024.

Future outlook

Savills Egypt continues to focus on promoting sustainability principles, enhancing the tenant experience, and expanding its operational capabilities across the country. 2025 plans include launching new services within the real estate management sector, expanding the company's real estate portfolio, particularly in East Cairo, and offering corporate and leasehold management services.
