Hong Kong/Muscat – The Oman Future Fund, a subsidiary of the Oman Investment Authority, and Temple Water, a leading Asian alternative asset manager, announced the launch of the Energy Transition Fund (the "Fund"), the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman. The specialized fund aims to accelerate investment in the energy transition and advanced industries in the Sultanate and achieve attractive financial returns. It also contributes to supporting the long-term diversification efforts of the national economy, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 .

The fund, which will be managed by Temple Water, is launched with an initial capital of $200 million, building on a $100 million anchor commitment from the Oman Future Fund and a similar $100 million commitment from Temple Water. This commitment serves as a catalyst to raise additional investments and attract promising, growth-oriented opportunities, in line with Oman Vision 2040. The partnership leverages an extensive network of relationships, enabling it to support larger deals and ensuring a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to the most attractive investment opportunities. The fund also consolidates the strategic role of the Oman Investment Authority in aligning international investments with national economic priorities, while leveraging global partnerships to attract foreign direct investment, advanced expertise, and modern technologies to vital sectors of the Omani economy.
